Summer Reception Programe for 2009

This year we hope to host around 150 students from almost 50 countries. More than 80 students from all over the world are expected to arrive in Belgrade. Very attractive program is prepared for this summer. We would like to highlight some of the planned activities:

  • 1. - 12. July 25 th Universiade
  • The twenty fifth anniversary summer Universiade will be held in Belgrade and it will be this year’s largest sports event organized in Serbia.
    Some 9 thousand athletes - students from 140 countries will compete in 15 sports and 208 disciplines. Serbia will welcome athletes who will compete in athletics, judo, football, basketball, fencing, volleyball, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, diving, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, archery, tens, taekwondo and water polo. Don't miss unique opportunity to cheer your national teams while doing your training in Serbia.

  • 11. - 12. July EXIT Music Festival
  • We plan to bring you all to the very famous open air festival EXIT in the city of Novi Sad. EXIT FEST is the biggest music festival in the South-eastern Europe. It takes place on a beautiful and magical Petrovaradin fortress on the banks of river Danube. Apart from quality music program that it offers, festival is a place of extraordinary fun and good atmosphere of the fortress as well as the positive energy of the city. During the days of the festival you can see thousands of people from all over Serbia and world in this city. It is very worth to see and feel. Names like Kraftwerk, The Prodigy, Moby and many DJ stages sounds promising, more info at exitfest.org

  • 31. July - 2. August Una rafting

  • Very attractive white water rafting trip on the river Una, popular for its splendid waterfalls and magnificent whirlpools is certainly a rafters paradise! So, it is guaranteed that the rafting trip is going to take your breath away. The high-rising and frothy waves will surely get your adrenalin flowing. Una is one of the most beautiful rivers in north-western Bosnia. During this weekend trainees will visit three towns on Una: Bihac, Kulen Vakuf and Martin Brod. Do not miss chance to explore beauties of untouched nature and enjoy in traditional cuisine and parties. This weekend is organized together with IAESTE Bosnia and Herzegovina.
